From the best brew to the finest foods, this week several local businesses were celebrating success in the EDP’s Food and Drink Awards.
Businesses nominated went along to a glittering ceremony on on Monday for the awards, presented in association with East of England Co-op at Norwich Open.
The annual awards celebrate the best of food and drink, from great chefs to fabulous produce, from inspiring work in hotels and cafes to brilliant pubs and restaurants. Judges had the tough task of choosing 12 winners from the finalists, but after a summer of tasting and interviewing the talented nominees, they made their decisions.
The Chef of the Year award went to Alex Clare of The Ingham Swan, which sadly was completely gutted by fire on Monday morning.
In the Field to Fork category the Fritton Arms were runners up, and an Outstanding Achievement Award went to Aileen and Nick Mobbs of Great Yarmouth’s Imperial Hotel.
