My Godmother, always known as Auntie Mary, was a school friend of my mother, Yvonne Potter née Hunton, and was a beloved presence in the lives of my brother, Simon, and me. We hadn’t seen her in recent years sadly due to COVID but always thought of her with so much fondness and affection.
