Eight people have been arrested for drug and money laundering offences after a vehicle was stopped by police.

Officers stopped a vehicle in London Road in Thetford on Sunday using automatic number plate recognition (ANPR).

The driver and two passengers, all men in their 20s, were arrested on suspicion of drug dealing and money laundering.

One of the men was also arrested on suspicion of cannabis cultivation and another on suspicion of an immigration offence.

The men were taken to Wymondham Police Station for questioning and later released on police bail. 

Further enquiries then led officers to a home in Admiralty Road in Great Yarmouth where a large quantity of cash was found.

Five people, including a woman in her 40s, a woman in her 30s, two men in their 30s, and a man in his 40s, were arrested on suspicion of money laundering and taken to Great Yarmouth Police Station for questioning.

They were also released on bail while enquiries continue.
